These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Ravendell Studios, LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("Ravendell Studios", "we", "us"). They cover the Bastion Blast game and our bastion server hosting subscription. By buying the game, creating an account, or renting a server, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Ravendell Studios offers two related things:
Bastion Blast is in Early Access. The game and the hosting service are under active development, and features described on this site may change, be delayed, or be removed as development continues.
To rent a server you must create an account and be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, if higher). If you are under 18, you may only subscribe with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@ravendell.org if you believe your account has been compromised.
Every player who joins your server needs their own copy of Bastion Blast.
Bastion server hosting costs $7.00 USD per month, per server. There is no setup fee and no minimum term.
You may cancel your hosting subscription at any time from your account in the web portal, or by emailing support@ravendell.org. Full details — including how to get your save file — are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
In short: cancelling stops future charges, your server keeps running until the end of the period you already paid for, and we do not pro-rate partial months. If the service does not work as described, contact us within 14 days and we will make it right or refund you.
Refunds for the Bastion Blast game itself are handled by Valve under the Steam Refund Policy, not by us.
The worlds, buildings, and characters you create on a rented server are yours. We store them so we can run the service, and we back them up automatically. You can request a copy of your save file at any time while your subscription is active, and for 30 days after it ends.
After that 30-day window we may permanently delete server data associated with a cancelled or unpaid subscription. Please download anything you want to keep before then.
You grant us the limited licence needed to host, store, transmit, and back up your content strictly for the purpose of operating the service. We do not claim ownership of your creations and we will not sell them.
You are responsible for what happens on servers you rent, including the conduct of players you invite. You agree not to use the game or hosting service to:
We may suspend or terminate a server or account that violates this section. Where the violation is not severe, we will try to warn you first.
We work to keep rented servers online continuously, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime SLA. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, game updates, or because of failures at our infrastructure providers. We will try to schedule planned maintenance considerately and to notify you of extended outages.
If a sustained outage that is our fault meaningfully deprives you of the service, contact us and we will credit or refund the affected period.
Bastion Blast, the Skies of Valentyre setting, the Ravendell Studios name and logo, and all associated art, music, code, and text are owned by Ravendell Studios, LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. Buying the game or a subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them as intended — it does not transfer ownership.
You may freely create and share screenshots, videos, streams, and other non-commercial content featuring the game.
You may stop using the services and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the hosting service — in which case we will give you reasonable advance notice and a pro-rated refund of any prepaid, unused period.
Except where the law does not allow it, the services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ravendell Studios, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to the services.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the hosting service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ravendell Studios, LLC from third-party claims arising out of your misuse of the services, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
We may update these Terms as the game and service evolve. If a change is material, we will notify subscribers by email or in the portal at least 30 days before it takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the services after a change takes effect means you accept it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Ravendell Studios agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Washington State for any dispute, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory local consumer protections, nothing here deprives you of the protections or the local forum that law guarantees you.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cancellation & Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding the services.
