This policy explains what Ravendell Studios, LLC collects when you play Bastion Blast or rent a bastion server, why we collect it, and what control you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the game and bill the subscription, we never sell your data, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Ravendell Studios, LLC — a Washington limited liability company — is the data controller for the information described here. Contact us any time at support@ravendell.org.
When you create an account in the server portal we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in through Steam, we receive your Steam ID and public profile name. We never see your Steam password.
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and holds your card details directly — we never receive or store your full card number. From Stripe we receive and retain a customer ID, subscription status, the last four digits and brand of your card, billing country, and invoice history, so we can show your billing state and provide support.
To run a rented server we store the world save (buildings, terrain, characters, inventories, in-game chat logs), the server's name and region, and operational metadata such as start/stop times and player counts. In-game chat is saved to the world's log so conversation survives restarts — server owners and administrators can read it.
Our servers automatically log IP addresses, timestamps, request paths, user agents, game build versions, and error/crash diagnostics. We use these to keep the service running, debug problems, and protect against abuse.
If you email us, we keep the message and our reply so we can help you and follow up.
This website uses no cookies for advertising or analytics. The server portal sets a single strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. Stripe's hosted checkout sets its own cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention, governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
We share data only with the service providers needed to operate the business, each bound to protect it:
We may also disclose data if legally required (subpoena, court order, or similar), or to protect our rights, our users' safety, or the integrity of the service. If Ravendell Studios is ever acquired or merged, data may transfer as part of that transaction — we will notify you first.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We are based in the United States and our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed in the US and other countries. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We protect data with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS for the website and portal, authenticated encrypted transport for game connections), encryption at rest for stored world saves, hashed passwords, restricted administrative access, and automated backups. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant regulators as the law requires.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to export a portable copy, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it.
If you are in California, you additionally have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these, email support@ravendell.org. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. You can also request your world save file at any time. If you are in the EEA or UK and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We will update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or in the portal at least 30 days in advance. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
